Differentiate etiology using the following additional tests:
- Slit lamp examination
- Jones dye disappearance test
- Vital dye stain of ocular surface(e.g. fluorescein, lissamine)
Consider the following diagnoses:
Initiate additional treatment or diagnostic for the following:
- Ocular allergy topical and/or oral anti-allergy medication, in-office allergy testing(scratch test)
- Punctal stenosis and nasolacrimal duct obstruction dilation and irrigation, nasolacrimal probing
- Conjunctivochalasis refer to corneal specialist for surgical repair
